The Peace Corps will hold an information session from 6-7:30 p.m. today at the Athens-Clarke County Library, 2025 Baxter St., as part of a drive to recruit volunteers in six work areas.

The Peace Corps is seeking workers in education, health, business development, agriculture, environment, and youth and community development, spokesman Steve Hunsicker said.

Presentations will provide information about how to apply for the Peace Corps and what volunteers say it's like to work and live overseas. A representative from AIDS Athens will be talking about the global HIV/AIDS epidemic and a Peace Corps recruiter will explain how volunteers are helping to fight AIDS globally.
