Tom Henderson, formerly assignments manager at WTVC-TV 9, has been elevated to news director at the station.

Henderson replaces Steve Hunsicker, who took a position with Freedom Communication in West Palm Beach, Fla.

Gina Bennett is now assignments manager at the station.

Henderson has been with NewsChannel 9 for more than six years.

Steve Hunsicker describes his life as an adventure.
